In September last year, DG Energy launched the Phase 2 of the Ecodesign Preparatory Study on Smart Appliances, which aims to extend the Preparatory study by inclusion of the electric vehicle chargers, and inclusion of four additional countries (Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Lichtenstein), and to provide a refinement of policy options and the overall Task 7 analysis of the first phase of the study. The study is carried out by a consortium led by VITO/EnergyVille in cooperation with Viegand Maagøe, and Armines/MINES-ParisTech.
In agreement with DG Energy, the consortium will organise one meeting in form of a stakeholder workshop to discuss the proposed policy option set and give stakeholders the opportunity to express their views on it.
The registration form and the draft programme can be found here, and the reports are available on the project webpage as well, see http://www.eco-smartappliances.eu/Pages/documents.aspx. The majority of the meeting will be devoted to discussion of the proposed policy options, whereas the findings related to the extension of the scope to the electric vehicle chargers, and inclusion of four countries will be briefly presented and discussed.
